Children's book author Jon Scieszka has written numerous popular children's books, both children's picture books and the Time Warp Trio chapter book series. Jon Scieszka is committed to promoting books for boys and encouraging boys to read. He established the literacy initiative Guys Read. In 2008, Jon Scieszka was named the nation's first National Ambassador for Young People's Literature.
