As the subtitle indicates, Kids in the Holiday Kitchen emphasizes making, baking, and giving. Kids in the Holiday Kitchen is a children’s cookbook that features recipes for meals, snacks, and desserts, as well as directions for a variety of holiday crafts. This cookbook for children includes treats for Christmas and Hanukkah.

These children's books are collections of short stories about winter and more. For example, The Winter Book, an anthology, is a children's book containing short stories, essays about winter holidays, artwork, and music. Fireside Stories: Tales for a Winter's Eve features short stories about winter from a number of different countries.
